Ginger Jar With Butterfly Design, Chinese?

This is another piece for the thrift store that I couldn't pass up for $1. It stands 6" tall and 4" in diameter. The butterflies almost look like spongeware applications, but some areas were definitely hand painted. The are a few moderate sized chips on the rim of the mouth. It is very heavily potted and there are several imperfections on the interior. I was thinking this piece probably dates to the early 20th century - I know it has some age. Any thoughts as to age or origin are greatly appreciated. Thanks, Joe
