Getting ready to stand the floor to ceiling mirror. I had to take the bottom piece off as my parents ceilings were taller than mine are - hope to be able to put it back on after installing.. The wall it's going up against is drywall on 16" center spaced 2X4 studs then a 1/4 wood paneling piece over the drywall.

Just looking for ideas on how to secure it to the wall. It's going to have to be something that holds the top to the wall (cant get behind it or on the very top of it) so has to be something that hooks to the sides. I pictured what the top sides looks like.

    2 1/4 inch wood screws..
2 100 pound metal hangers ....into the studs...
& 2 each side brass brackets ..to keep it tight against the wall...

These are excellent 100 pound frame hangers....no screws...

I'll have to go scrounge in my hardware drawers - I know I have the 90° brackets somewhere.

OH, and did you notice? I changed the Aladdin lamp? This one I electrified so now I got light when I have to put moulding around the mirror!

It didn't at first - I had to cut another 1/2" off in one section of the base - what a bitch, but now I have it leveled with shims and can now add top and bottom moulding - !

That looks great! Lots of work, but it looks like it has always been there.

My wife put a heck of a cleaning on the mirror. It was so dark from being dirty we didn't realize it had some walnut burl and now gold colored accents really pop, Comparing these pics with the first ones is a big difference. Yes, still working on the molding -

Very nice! The gold accents look great, as does the wood.
