Featured Germany pottery bowl - how old? Also question about glaze chip.

Howdy all. This bowl is about 12" across. Has some gold work. Looks like classic west german mid century stuff to me but is marked 230/27 GERMANY and has a gold "Made in Germany" stamp. Any ideas on maker or age? Also note the chip in the glaze on the interior decoration. It is only the glaze that is chipped. Is there anything I can do to prevent it from chipping any further?

    Thanks again :)

Not sure there's much you can do about that flake. It blends in fairly well for a flake and shouldn't get too much worse with normal use. I'm wondering if someone tried to stack something on top of it? It could be repaired fairly easily if you wanted to have it restored. Cool piece!

Thanks Don - it does blend in fairly well as I didn't even notice it till I got home :). I'll probably just leave it as is - I just want to make sure I don't make it any worse.
