German Marking.. Is this Meissen

    Looks like, from the 1 detail pic that is showing, it is supposed to be the goddess Diana/Artemis. Results of a search for 'Meissen Diana figurine' show several versions, none that look like this, all more skillfully painted.

    So maybe sitzendorf of Volkstedt?

    I just do the mythology bit. Let's hope someone who knows porcelain has further ideas. :)

    As far as I know this mark is Samson.

    That's Edmé Samson of Paris, also known as Samson the Imitator.

    From the little I can see, might also be one of the big name Amazons: Penthesilea; Hippolyta; Antiope; Melanippe.
