This is what i know Hepp brothers invented this plating process in 1871 This is an earlier mark. it is 4" diameter.it is 4" diameter. What would you call this? Nut dish, ashtray?
At that size and shape, perhaps finger-bowls, or sauce/condiment dishes - would expect post-WWII at the earliest with the '18/10' stainless mark. They're still in business, could email and ask... Here's a 'set of 5' sold earlier this month: ~Cheryl
