G. H. ROTHE - DANCE BEJART - HOW TO TELL IF A LITHO OR A MEZZoTINT?

I found this beauty at a local thrift store. It is titled Dance Bejart - the ones I've found online are limited edition mezzotint & sell for up to $11,000! Those are the same size as mine (22.5" x 34") but mine has no numbers as would be in a limited edition.

Is there a way to tell - without taking it apart - if this is a mezzotint or a lithograph? It has no pixels like a inexpensive print; in fact up close it looks like it could have been hand drawn/colored!

It was framed at Michael's which wouldn't be the first choice of a knowledgable collector.

Respectfully disagree. Never dismiss a work on the quality of the framer. Serious print collector here but I don’t give a dang about frames as long as the print is archivally protected so when i have to reframe I use Michaels. On this specific work I agree that it’s an open edition print.

For future reference, a mezzotint is going to look more like an etching or engraving as they use similar method and produce a very different visual effect than lithographs.
