    Im going through the world of antique furniture‘s and I’d like to know their History and how to recognize it. I don’t even know it’s name in English (in Spanish we call it secretel) because it has like a hidden space inside P.S : is there any reference book ?     That looks like a run of the mill 20th century dresser that someone stuck a cabinet on.

    Would be secretary in English. The drop-front desk is what makes it a secretary. Otherwise, would have assumed this to be a dining room piece.
