    hi folks

something i found in our local charity shop yesterday. was only a pound and thought it just looked nicely made/framed

all that is marked is pixel mario in pencil

wondering what kind of print it is, a really thick type of textured print

from an amateur artist of sorts or like a retail thing ?

really hard to focus a picture on :playful::playful::playful::p

    any thoughts appreciated

i remember when the first one came out on the nes, along with duck hunt
no saving games in them days. if your lifes ran out you had to start right back at the beginning again

i used to get absolutely livid :)

Possibly a screen print. A membrane is used with a stencil then the ink is squeegeed through it onto the fabric.

My grandson is now playing Mario Kart. At 5. Of course his dad is teaching him all the things.

That was the 2nd one we had! (Pong and Asteroids!) Actually, I still have it! Then Atari released a new version, and you couldn't play the new games on the old console. My parents were kind enough to buy the new console (I still have it, including the box) But that's also when I decided that I would never want to buy consoles, as you would have to keep on buying the newer versions to be able to play the new games.

We stuck with old version then upgraded to the ZX Spectrum a few years later.

I played Pong! Simple and weirdly mesmerizing.

In college we had Tecmo Bowl tournaments in the dorm, with brackets and all, and if you missed a scheduled game by doing something stupid like going to class, you forfeited.

For some reason, I was also given the handheld baseball & handheld basketball which used batteries. I gave each one to my kids recently along with there gameboys & the games, and their original iPods. Cleaning & clearing is the best thing ever…
