Fruit Bowl material.

    I have attached two images of a metal fruit bowl. The bowl has no marks/letters and I am trying to establish the metal used in its manufacturer. The bowl has a slightly more yellowish colour than the images indicate. Could it be a brass alloy?

    I would also like to know the best method of cleaning the bowl or if any metal cleaning polish will suffice.

    Most likely silver plate especially if no marks and the yellow cast.

    Bride's basket, from the handle. Most of those were silverplate IIRC, and would have had a glass liner. It has a handle.
