So I bought this bottle which was in a lot, a few years ago and wandering what it's worth is. It's a full bottle, approx. 5 ounces, sealed with metal seal and cork, Fritzsche Brothers Oil of Sandalwood. Numbered #423412414. Anyone with any info....

It's medical rather than perfume, the USP stands for US Pharmacopia. I don't know what oil of sandelwood is good for but the USP entry might have a clue. The reverse label probably relates to a druggist's wholesaler.

Possibly 1950s. A collector of medical odds and ends might give a few dollars for it.

Isn't that stuff one of the ingredients in some witch's brews? There's a niche market for you!

    Hola, and welcome, Leslie.
    It says "MYSORE"!
    That made me giggle.

Springfield, I'll ask my Step-Aunt Sofia about that. I'm sure she keeps a ready brew supply on hand.

According to her book Sandalwood "provides a sweet woody aroma that is calming, stress relieving and antidepressant." also "is regarded as a hormone regulator with reputed aphrodisiac effects etc etc." Inhaled, rubbed on etc. It still is in use today. would be listed as a homeopathic treatment. There was a whole page about its uses.
    Neat bottle though!
