French Ewers? Most likely brass? Quite heavy

Hey everyone,

I have these french ewers, well, I think they are... quite heavy so suspected brass I think.

Just wondering if anyone can shed any light on them?

What about these makes you think French?

 

I get a German vibe, but I'm no expert.

 

Some kind of a Bacchanalian scene I would guess since the face with horns is a satyr of some type.

Could be part of a garniture set.

Thanks I’ll have a good look. Can see the bacchalian in the images but the woman on top looks to be maybe a mermaid ? Not sure.

 

She might be a mermaid since the spout looks like a fish or dolphin. I'm not getting a good focus on my phone screen. I'll leave it to people with bigger and better monitors and screens to figure out the scene.
