I can seem to track down this exact image anywhere. I saw several similar works by various French impressionist in the late 19th century. This is a large work. Signed 97 in the lower left, IMP ?????? within the print on the lower right, and then the copyright info on the top left. Any thoughts as to age or artist is appreciated.

Looks like flapper dress which would put the date towards the 1920's

Is that a signature in the lower right ? Or are my eyes deceiving me ? I think shes a dancer for like a revue or something, definitely not a ballerina with that top ! The headband is very 20s. Shes wonderful and Id have leaped on it too !

Good eye to catch the printing at the lower right, Johnny. It looks like it starts with "Imp." so would be the printer's name, I think... not the artist. But I can't read the rest.

I actually passed on it for $20. I like the work, but have just about ran out of storage room, including wall space. This piece is at least 3ft tall x 2ft wide. There are a few creases in the work too. I'm debating going back to get it. It is in a flea market literally next door to my house.

I don't think that's Bee, her hair is too dark, but she's really cute.

I didn't think it was Bee in the original post, I just posted it to show what 1920s showgirls were wearing, as it was so close to that.

Yep, it's $20. But my walls are packed full of oil paintings. And my closets are congested with oil paintings. And we're taking about a 2200 sq ft house. Mantles, China and curio cabinets, and hutches are packed with pottery and porcelains. I guess I could buy it and stick it in a closet. I wouldn't have time to invest in reframing.

I have a 400 sq ft sunroom that is too congested to even walk through and I'm afraid to put anything else in there because it could be damaged by the heat and light exposer.

I've tried to sell. But, starting about 6 months ago the antique market took a nose dive. I'd rather keep it than basically give it away and deal with the hassle of eBay.

One day Sir, you'll confront the reality that you have to turn some of your holdings into money...even if the time is not right to achieve a full profit margin.
Yes, it's a painful realization.....but it will allow you to walk about the house without brushing into your treasures along the way.

    IMHO....
