    Hi folks

2 cheap costume pieces i found yesterday in the chazzers

thought the plastic bangle was interesting just because it is carved, any age ?

the gold plated one looks quite nicely made for costume, marked modele depose, french ?, not sure of age 70s ?

any info on any of them would be very helpful

Both are really nice, charlie's famous eye did it again.:cyclops::joyful:
Could also be Belgian or Swiss, but I also think French. A good piece.
I also think 70s, they loved that wood structure look.

The blue one is my favorite of the two.

I'd dunk the blue one in some soapy water and take an old toothbrush to it and clean off the crud. Other than that, onto my wrist it would go.

Bakelite came in that color, after you wash it, test it!

I looks like it might be carved too, so what she said.

Me either, but those carving marks would be enough to make me check for galaith.(sour milk smell instead of formaldehyde.) Can't hurt to try.

The gold one may be a bit earlier. Sixties. It’s very in the style of the fine makers like Andrew Grima. Bark finish was a big thing here, and not just jewellery, glass too.

It doesn't turn up in the USA much, but I've run into it. This doesn't look like the right color, but might as well.
