French? Cameo Glass Style Lampshades

Another interesting auction story with these shades. They were on the bottom of a box lot that contained electrical extension cords, tape, pliers, wrenches and a whole host of other electrical-related parts. It's amazing they were not damaged. I asked one of the guys who puts together the box lots and he told me that it made sense to him because lamp shades are from a lamp and a lamp is an electrical item. Made sense to him, I guess! Anyway, $15.00 seemed like a good deal for everything.

Any idea who made em?

Also, this is not cameo glass. Cameo glass refers to glass that has a cut away relief just like a piece of cameo jewelry. I'm not seeing that on your shades.

 

If you clean the dark gunk off the bottom the signature might show up better.
