Any ideas on these? I am very familiar with bakelite, these almost look like they could be bakelite, but do not give the smell when rubbed, also do not give a positive with simichrome. One bracelet has a "Made in France" label.

They have an interesting look with that wavy looking pattern in the plastic. Just curious if anyone can point me to a maker, or some keywords. Thanks.

Just a guess ...but maybe they're older "celluloid" faux ivory. I like them!

    They are gorgeous, Lucille.
Maybe galalith/casein? If you immerse galalith in hot water for a while, it will smell like burnt milk.

Looks more like 1960s or later French Lucite, might be Lea Stein...

    Bingo! Lea Stein. Thank you!

It reminded me of a Lea Stein piece someone listed a few months back (was it SBSVC or MillCove?)-- could not recall the maker's name. Thanks!

    Here is a dead ringer:

    Had one last question.

There are sections where the layers seemed almost "pinched" ...I'm sure that was done during manufacturing. Do I mention, and if yes, how to describe?

I'd sell as a pair, that's how I'd buy them. As to the pinching, it's how they're made - yes, show photos but it's not a fault.

Her brooches are often signed and have an unmistakable back structure. The bangles aren't signed.

Purchased as a pair, good idea. Then I don't have to take new photos! Thanks.

They're very smart: and if you can, offer international, her stuff is very collected here.

The UK is definitely the market for those. Maybe Ireland too. I'd definitely offer shipping to Great Britain if you're going to list those.

Splendid! I only have Stein brooches, but I love them. Bought one for a song at a car boot sale: I looked at the dealer, she said she knew it was too cheap but that I was buying it to keep, and she'd rather have that. He is a splendid deco style cat.
