Featured French Articulating Post Card

    According to the internet, divided back postcards were introduced in France in 1904. So early 20th century.

    Is an articulating postcard the same as a mechanical postcard, in that something moves on it? Or does it have to be a particular type of movement?

    If it helps, the French words on the bottom of the picture/card translates to:

    The eternal comedy - The son-in-law and the beautiful mother.

    "Articulated" means having moveable parts, but "mechanical" does seem to be the word as applied to postcards. It's new to me.

    Try searching mechanical postcard.
