The Brass Teapot is a modern fable about money and the meaning of the American dream. Based on the comic book, The Brass Teapot is a feature film about John (Michael Angarano) and Alice (Juno Temple), who live in small down America. They are in their 20's, married, very much in love and broke. Once voted "Most Likely to Succeed," Alice struggles to make ends meet while her friends enjoy the good life. Her husband John, neurotic and riddled with phobias, just wants to get the bills paid. But an accident leads them to a roadside antique shop where Alice is spontaneously drawn to a mysterious brass teapot. It isn't long before they realize that this is no ordinary teapot and that perhaps they have found the answer to all of their financial woes. The Brass Teapot is a magical comedy that reminds us to be careful what we wish for.

KingofThings, a little off-topic, but for some reason (perhaps the upcoming holiday season) it made me think of William Sydney Porter's (pen name O. Henry) story "The Gift of the Magi." Are you familiar with that story? Just curious. By the way, "The Gift of the Magi" is available to read on-line.

I received the movie and since it was rated R decided to watch it after the kiddos went to bed, it was late so the wife and I figured we'd have to watch half last night and the other tonight. Well we couldn' stop watching it, the movie was great! We had to stay up and watch it till the end to those others that didn' speak up you really missed out on a awesome movie!!
