Hi again, This piece is marked Fraunfelter China Ohio on the back. I can't find anything else similar to it by this maker. It is around 11.5" tall and 5.5" wide. The first thing that came to me is cathedral window and I am pretty sure it is some sort of window. To my mind, the artwork isn't spectacular, but overall the piece does have an attraction. I am hoping for some help on what it is, and about what time frame it may be from as well as any other helpful information. Thanks all in advance.

There is quite a large article and lots of different marks for Fraunfelter in Lehner's Ency. of US Marks. She shows your mark as No 5, registered in 1925, claiming use since 1924. Working dates from 1923 to 1939. They made a lot of dinnerware and also supplied to other companies. Also "chemical laboratory ware and china ornaments," Maybe this piece qualifies as a china ornament.

I agree that it's shape is very much like a church window.

Have you looked closely at the painted scene for a tiny signature anywhere?

Gothic style ..I've had several Italian gouache paintings of saints in frames (gilded wood) like this.

Thanks everyone for all the help. I looked for a small signature and thought maybe I had found something but blowing it up, I don't think it is. IMG_2939.JPG
