Frank Whiting Sterling 6.25" coaster. Condition question.

    Most of these don't sell for too much, but this is a slightly larger coaster (for a wine bottle?). Was thinking of possibly listing.

    Overall condition is good, but you can see some discoloration under the glass on the edging. I presume from where it was originally glued maybe? That discoloration seems to stand out a bit on this one. Is it a normal thing to have on a sterling/glass coaster like this, or should I point it out in the auction? I would of course include all photos, but didn't know how to describe. Thanks.

    (P.S. If anyone recognizes pattern, please let me know. :))

    I'd say I've seen that before.......and I don't think it's a deal breaker.....

    Coasters like these are common for wine-bottles and glasses, to stop the condensation from cold drinks (like wine) staining the table/cloth.

    I wouldn't worry about the blemishes. They're part of the item's age and history. It's a lovely piece!
