I found this while looking for a painting in a room full of art stuff I have. It looks like his hands held swords or something?
On the back the only mark I could find looks like the number1.
Is this old or made for tourist new piece?
Was there a tale of a warrior or figure who rode a tiger?
    Thanks.

Probably Japanese. Bando Mitsugoro as a Samurai warrior, subduing a Tiger.

I agree, it is either part of a Chinese roof tile, or inspired by one. Chinese made too.
Chinese roof tile are usually completely free standing, no flat backs. Maybe this was a wall decoration near the roof?

Going to read the link - but this isn't a roof tile because of the flat back? Shame because they sell for a lot on ebay & this was a find I didn't know about.

Yours is a pale imitation of the one on eBay.
The one you have is modern thing and I'm pretty sure no-one would put it on their roof. Seems to be the wrong material for a roof tile, just a decorative thing IMO
