    2 5/8 inches (72 mm) diameter.
    Holds a little over 6 ounces filled to the rim.

    Can't find this pattern. I think the mark is from the 1960s, but haven't completely figured it out yet.

    There was some wax residue of different colors inside and outside, so it was used for candles. I don't know if it was originally sold as a candle jar or a cup.

    I don't think its that old , and possibly it had a lid as per the wear on the rim . I think it was in fact a candle jar.

    Wow! Yours is TOO expensive. There are different with lid are for sale in Nordstrom $175 per each and they are 6" H, but don't know if it is with lid or not.
    Also all of them made without god rim. 10413094_2118472_322.jpg

    I can't find any with a gold rim either.
    I've found some of the candle jars used, on the secondary market that have pics of the marks. The marks are different. They are all much larger, too.

    Yes, none of the new ones show the marks or size so I wasn't sure. Some pieces that show marks list them as 1960s so your might be.
    Wanttoknow, that isn't mine, just one I was showing. Even at $175.00 I still don't understand why they are so high

    I didn't mean your Item :joyful: I meant "yours" you found :p Actually.... I don't understand why IT (everything under that brand) is so expensive. Yes, some Items are so cool, but I wouldn't collect it. It is same with some super expensive perfume: price is huge, but just impossible to use - so stinky! I got twice as presents for wedding and for Birthday from my former boss (lady): one time Clive Christian in gold bottle about $900 and second time Houbigant Paris about $600, well... my husband told me every time that if I will use any of them, I could sleep outside with neighbors cats. :hilarious:

    Fornasetti sells, it's as simple as that. I bought an ashtray once for $2.50, listed it on Ebay at $175 BIN, and it sold within minutes. So, even if you don't know that pattern name or the exact date, "Vintage Fornasetti" in the title is enough.
    Great find, and I hope it does well!

    Yes, great find!.... Looks like it is so easy sell it with good profit.... Thanks people who collect it! :hilarious::hilarious::hilarious: (@lauragarnet Maybe will be good to add "Showing in England eBay for sale" in eBay posting, because looks like people in Europe are crazy about these items.)

    Yay! I finally found out what this little cup is for. It's either a cigarette holder/cup, or a match holder/cup, part of a smoking set. Circa 1955, according to the second Christie's link.

    Hi,
    Fornasetti pieces always sells. I found a set of 6 coasters at the flea market. I paid 2 bucks for them. I started them at $9.99 and within 2 hours they were at 300 dollars. Even I was shocked at the 477 dollar final bid. My friend found a set of 12 plates for 125 bucks. Final price 7K.

    @gregsglass

    How long ago? From what I've seen looking at Fornasetti the last few days, I think the demand/prices seem to have waned lately.
