Fork hallmarks

    Ran across this fork I bought quite awhile ago and never researched. Not sure if it is silver or plate even. Assume 1903 is the date? The worn mark looks like an anchor flanked by chubby stick figures .... LOL! The makers mark appears to be CRS (CHS?) over a D. The last mark looks like the number 20. Sorry the pic of the mark is not better. Best out of a dozen or so attempts.

    Clarfeld and Springmeyer - Germany - the 20 indicates quality of plating

    Thanks! ..... spot on. Looks like they made some interesting things. Too bad this isn't one of them.

    I sold a fork that looked just like this one for $38. Two or three people had a little bidding war. I can't remember what the marks were but maybe I still have the photographs.
