I picked up this bowl because it felt well made & had what I thought was an unusual pontil? on the bottom. I know it is a longshot but thought someone might recognize it.

It is 4 3/4" to the side edge & is 9 3/4" across the top.

Simon Pearce makes a very similar one, but I believe they are usually signed.

I have a few of their pieces and they aren't signed but have a sticker.

    I didn’t know that. :happy:i have a small vase and it’s signed. So I guess it’s a possibility.

1 dimension slightly off? Maybe you can weigh it?

Don’t know how else to check?

Sorry, pasted wrong thing here, now I can’t re-find the ad. It
Was 60 oz. you can find it on Replacements also.

Is the 60 oz. the capacity or the weight?

According to Replacements measurements, this is a Shelburne bowl.

The liquid capacity is actually slightly more than 60 ounces but since they are hand blown there is going to be I would think some discrepancies.

According to my scale, the weight is about 35 ounces.

Do you think the S.P. Looks more optic? 651FB972-075F-4844-9B76-2F5F88747922.jpeg

I just looked at mine & I do not see any optic effect in my bowl. I do not know how the optic effect is done but could this have been a bowl that for some reason did not achieve the optic effect? This bowl could have been sold as a second & maybe the reason it is not signed.

Either that, or it’s other than SP. I don’t think all the photos captured the optic characteristics. That was the closest I saw until I realized.

Maybe someone will swoop in with some other possibilities?
