Same seller who gave me a deal on the Plasto lidded jar has also offered this small (about 4 inches high; 5 inches at widest) 3 footed bowl for next to no money. Shipping is nearly as much. I'm just captivated by the color & shape. It's cheap & not very large. I might even find a use for it. I'm assuming it's pretty modern. Is there any more to know about it? How would you describe it? Saw some Fenton glass very similar in color.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Well, I would say yes, buy it!

But I know nothing about it. Is it called satin glass? Maybe somebody here will weigh in.

I love your comment "I might even find a use for it." That's the mantra of all antiquers. LOL

Enablers, the lot of you! OK, it's a done deal. Wasn't expecting another overlooked treasure like the Night jar (isn't that a bird?) but always enjoy having some sense of the history of an item. Thank you, as always, @i need help for applying your phenomenal research skills. Since neither the photo nor the written description reveals any makers mark in the listing for mine, I thought we were having to go by appearance alone & that the snowflake might be the identifier. Once I have it in hand, we can revisit with a better idea of the mark.

More than one seller says this shape is Westmoreland too:

Like mine better, I'm a sucker for light catchers.

Thanks, all! Will update when it's here.

They made some lovely things. Says something about our time that they now fetch so little.

It just arrived & mark is like the etsy one, a monogram-like W superimposed on a G, so 1980 or a bit before? Just starting to be old enough to be vintage. Thank you so much for working that out. Without help, I probably wouldn't have been able to figure out which way was up. :)

California to New York, mailed Tuesday, arrived Thursday midday. USPS Priority. The Plasto jar arrived with it. Not a single ding on either box. I'm in shock!

Bowl is already sitting pretty in a living room window, next to another colorful piece of glass. I'm as enchanted by glass as the ancients were. :)
