FMD Reed & Barton piece

    I've been trying to find out what this is for past 2 hours, tired now.

    Anybody know what this was used for ?

    The MFD is an abbreviation for the word "manufactured" so it's just Reed & Barton. Silverplated and meant to hold a glass dish. With the 2 handles it might be for serving something like mayo, mustard, or salt.
