Back of stretcher signed in English with "Flower Market 1983" so not sure if European location or US.

 

It is a town in Switzerland. I've been there, can't remember which one, maybe it'll come to me.

 

Believe it or not, for some reason I was expecting you to say that you've been there

 

I have been to most, if not all Swiss towns. Mostly in my childhood, which is why it is a bit more difficult to recall the exact location. Maybe I'll dream of it tonight.

 

Could it be in the old city of Bern?
That street has buildings only on one side and then looks like a dead end. People at the far left are enjoining the view.

 

I was thinking Bern as well, there is a part with a steep drop down to the river. I believe that is also where the old bear pit is. The bears Bern is called after now live in a special bear park nearby.
