There's a story of the matriarch, on her death bed, giving instructions to a son about what to bid on at an upcoming auction.</p><p><br /></p><p>This picture shows the catalog against a background of Patino auction catalogs that I've had for decades. (Oops... one is a Thyssen catalog.) Spectacular stuff and as close as I'm ever going to get to any of it.
