    Hello Everyone!

My very last post of this week!

An interesting find I had at the recent auction.

This gentleman with a basket that has A. O. written on it.

Any opinions of what it may be?

My first thought was "Apple Orchard" lol but then there would probably have been
apples in the basket or something.

    Thanks in advance!
I look forward to the discussion! IMG_6825.JPG

The periods are preceding the A and O ... could this have been developed in reverse? I don't know how tin types are made ... may not even be possible to reverse the image for all I know .....

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Good point... tintype photos are generally reversed, so it is really O.A.

In the online gaming parlance, AO means "animation override", or a digital mechanism for stopping and/or replacing an avatar's built-in actions.

    Pretty sure that's it. :)

    Woopsie, nevermind. Good eyes, Quirky!

lol Not sure these are related but what the heck...

I'm certain it stands for "Orphan Asylum." The seated gent collects donations for the asylum using the basket.
