I got this yesterday from a lady who said it was junk. I paid $8, have always wanted a real bracelet like it. Examining it, I figured the sawtooth stone settings were a lot of work. The stones seemed a bit rough and uneven for glass, plus they had imperfections. I spent a lot of time googling last night, and found a much more grand bracelet similar to it that is silvetplated. First, my bracelet:

The bracelet I found researching is silverplated, turquoise, and sold for $280.

I have not cleaned mine yet. What are your thoughts?

Sawtooth bezel has been commercially available for over 60 years.

That turquoise looks good, so does the silver.

Hard to say, there is also dyed magnesite and howlite. Which is very common. Naturally they are white. Bracelet could be sterling or "german silver" which is imitation of silver.

Many makers today prefer the .999 fine over sterling bezel wire as it is easier to bend the edge over the stone.

Is silverplate easier to bend than silver?

If the bezel is Nickle silver or another base metal it is harder.

Isn't this wear to the silver plate here? Or is it just an optical illusion?

If you like it -wear it. No on will know whether it is real or not unless they examine it closely.

I think if I polished it, it would be uniform in metal color ...maybe oxidation. Can't find any marks.

I’m inclined to say it’s real, however without holding it in my hands and examining it closely, it’s hard to say conclusively

I will gladly give you $16 for it!
    Double your money!

    But seriously,, I'm completely jealous.
I love it so much and the price is unreal.

    My take: sterling, Navajo made.
Turquoise most likely from Arizona, based on the color.

Thanks all. I do think it's silverplate with genuine turquoise. I will polish it and take a pic and update you. We'll see. Usually cuffs are too small or too big, this one is a Goldilocks-perfect fit.

I think it is silver and Navajo made.
Not all older Navajo silver is sterling (.925), a lot of it is, but you can also come across lower grades sometimes.
    Did you test the stones?

Don’t polish it. Just wear it! I like the unpolished look.
