    Hello,

I have an antique sterling lock which opens vertically top down. On the interior of the locket is stamped sterling and then what looks like an eye shape. I can't find anything on what this eye could be? Is it a hallmark? Is anyone familiar with who the maker could be or what this symbol is?

I've been searching for a couple of hours and have found nothing. I was thinking its art deco period as well. Could it be an evil eye to protect the wearer? LOL I give up.

I've looked more into JT Inman and it appears the eye stamp was used in the 1920's. This locket was probably a special order someone commissioned the company to make with their initial P. It doesn't appear that they specialized in lockets but produced mostly picture frames, silverware and baby rattles..

Bought at a local jewelry/department store or mail ordered and the "P" was poorly engraved by bench jeweler at local shop.

Seconded. The P barely fits; the factory would have done a better job.
