This black leaf dish is 10" long, 3 7/8" at its widest. Green decor that reminds me of pistachio nuts. I'm thinking European due to the style of the numbers. Do the numbers and letters on the bottom give a clue to the maker?

    Thanks!

You are good, Cheryl! I thought it said "Ltd". And I should know better as I went to school in Italy--but that was a long time ago and I was far more interested in architecture and Italian men than pottery ;).

Maybe fava beans on a fava leaf - to be served with a nice Chianti and some fresh liver.

I saw pistachios - maybe it's for serving gelato? (can you tell I'm hungry?)

Thanks again, Cheryl--that's it! Glad to know it's 1950s. (I'm sticking with pistachios.)
