Europe(?) Oil painting ID help

    I saw this today at a thrift shop. Aged and dirty. Curious about age by clothing? The name “WAGNER” is crudely painted on the back top right of the canvas. Frame is all wood and painting is a bit damage(missing paint) @9:00
    Not sure of actual size but Im guessing without frame 4’ X 3’
    Would this be traceable to the author or is it studio work? I did not buy it but pondering about it. All opinions welcomed

    Yes, it certainly does. Clothing is kinda 1950s-1960s-ish. Scene is kinda Northern Italy.

    staples...plywood.... who cares about the clothing....it don't mean nothing...
    not even worth bringing to our attention.....go find a real antique..

    super rare view of Lake Lucerne from Tribschen by Richard Wagner. gave him the idea for "Die Götterdämmerung".
    just entering the house is Friedrich Nietzsche looking for Cosima to show her his "Übermensch".
