just bought this on etsy for £15 looks a bit ropey though to be honest, very rough finish i can test it when it comes so if its not silver, it'll be going straight back as its stated 925 silver thought it was worth a risk any thoughts ?, wouldnt be surprised if its not right, something seems off about it
Uuhh... Sorry... This smell Asian knock off... Tin, glued glass cabs, black ink and fraudulent 925...
The first picture made me think silver, the subsequent pictures not so much. The color looks too white, if that makes sense. Good point about the black ink, kyratango. Edit: oh yeah, those cabs don't look like coral and turquoise either.
thanks kyra, youve just confirmed my thoughts was wondering about the black dribble price was too good to be true, should have learned that by know
Well.......kyra, tie dye, & anti have pretty much summed it up ..... and you ... " price was too good to be true, should have learned that by know"...in your heart of hearts knew it all along ! Holly sez solder....but I see a casting .....of such low quality that never mind wearing it...I wouldn't buy it to melt it !! The stones look like Fimo...there's just no life in them... You know I luv ya Pal......but...your eye has got to get more training if you're gonna throw money at things like this ! I know you have a budget.....but this still rings true ...( no pun intended....maybe...) " Buy the best you can afford " . Good thing it got cancelled ......easy lesson learned !!
i deserve every bit of that komo, and for some reason enjoyed it as well i blame it on the cataracts good job ive got you guys
The content of the solder used in many locations has mixed properties and results. A number of makers are now using this product and having good results. https://www.riogrande.com/product/silver-powdered-solder-for-russian-filigree/132209
I’ve seen a lot of “Indian” jewelry with that sheen and “claim” of being SILVER. However, nowadays they can claim that the reference was to an items colour, rather than molecular composition. For example, LEATHER can actually be: Real Leather, Genuine Leather, Cowskin Leather, Animal Hyde, Pleather, Bonded Leather, etc. I try to buy only stamped (800-925) pieces from experienced sellers.
