Featured Etruscan gold earrings, what gemstones

    Hello

    I have some gold Etruscan style earrings. They are set with round cut stones pink/purple in colour. Are they likely to just be amethysts?

    They are broken, i think there should be at least three balls for each earring. I will probably sell them as they are.

    They are gorgeous, doesn't look like amethyst

    Love them.:) The stones could be either amethyst or amethyst glass.

    I have attached a couple of UV photos, the best i could get.

    i have been considering getting a Presidium duo gem tester, it would be really useful for things like this.
