Sorry, you have to look at more of my finds. I bought this necklace and jewelry bits from one vendor and the filigree pieces from three other vendors. The coral in the larger pieces is real. The necklace's ends are stamped with an unusual mark.
I'm wondering if the necklace and stray bits might be Balkan or Turkish, because I also bought a niello-looking bracelet from the vendor.

I do believe your necklace is Indian. It's a mango necklace. The script looks like Davanagari too.

This makes me so happy, Houseful! Whenever I get back from a hunt, I always get struck with a sudden sense of doubt and worry that I've ended up buying something useless or worthless, or at least not as nice or special as I thought it was. Or I realize that I bought something different than what I thought, and I was wrong all along. It's nice to know that you enjoy looking at them and that they're good finds. :) I get the same feeling looking at everyone else's finds. It's great to know that there's stuff out there.

I’m a newbie at this and sometimes I bring something home that I think is special and find it’s cheap mass produced rubbish and then I find something I think is tat and everyone thinks it’s special!.
All part of the fun and the learning curve for me and I think some you win and some you lose!. I enjoy looking at all the finds as I learn so much. One mans meat is another’s poison too.

I'm with obb, and Indian mango necklace.
The crosses and filigree ball look Balkan to me. If the ball has a ring it is likely to be a button.
You can put a faceted red glass bead or cab in the mount. Or if you can get it, an antique red coral cab or bead.

Could you post photos of the pendants with the coin dangles, and of the fronts and backs of the coins?

    Thank you!

No loop on the small filigree ball, but one end has the mount.

Only one of the pendants has symbols on the coins. Tiniest pendant has a glass cabochon it looks like.

Same. I'm trying to look at it that way, too--even if I end up losing money on some purchases, those loses are just blips in what I hope will be a fruitful future of antiquing.

I also only buy what I like ( apart from the hideous hoof necklace and the equally 'hideous but much more likeable now I know how collectable it is' celluloid necklace that both just arrived with me!).
Then if they are of no value at least I like looking at them!

I think the coral pieces are all Kuchi.

The Kuchi are an Afghan Pashtun tribe, but the name Kuchi is now used for other Afghan and some Pakistani nomadic tribes as well. All of them are of Iranian tribal origin.
When it comes to jewellery, the term Kuchi is used for any tribal looking jewellery from Western Asia nowadays.

I think the pendants are Indian, and could be Banjara. The script on some of the coins looks like an Indian script to me, not Farsi/Arabic. The mango pendant also looks Indian to me.
The Banjara or Lambani are a Gypsy people in India. They use a lot of crescent moon symbolism.
Confusingly, there is some overlap in Kuchi and Banjara jewellery. They both use bells, coins and jhumka-like pendants.
In general the Kuchi use more glass and less silver and coins than the Banjara, who use more silver and coins and less glass. They both love colours. I use the word silver loosely, btw.;)
I think the beads that look like coral are actually glass.

The styles look related, but Moroccan Berbers never use Indian coins and mango dangles.;) They use classic Moroccan coins, which are centred when struck, and with the Moroccan star and Arabic script.
Berber jewellery generally has a higher silver content, and the coral-like beads would be genuine Mediterranean red coral. When they use translucent red glass, it is usually rose cut faceted, so with the pointy side up.
