These look more like Basilius Besler's work to me, I'm not sure about the age but he lived 1561-1629; (they may have been made after he died). Here's a link to a Wiki article about him:

Did not say that but the work off Basilius looks different with the way the plants are named . mean the typographic way in naming ? So did not say you're stupid but see a difference

I agree, it does look different than most of his sketches; my thought was it could have been a sketch done earlier or later than his most known works.:)

    Hi,
I learned a great lesson from the Congressional Library that really works. Many times there is a newspaper article or photo that you want to save. Usually they turn brown and crumble away. I learned that the cheap news print is very acidic due to bleaching and it being made from tree pulp. I take articles and photos and soak them in a solution of half club soda and half stomach remedies such as Maalox or Wingel. Any liquid antacids will work. Soak the article for 15 mins or so. Lay it out to dry on a dish towel or hanging up is best. When it is dry, lightly brush off any remaining powder. The article will be deacidified and last for a long time. I have articles that I tried doing in the early 50s and they are still white and sturdy. The Library of Congress does this to daily newspapers to conserve them.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Can you make out any of the writing on the back of the print in your 7th picture?
