Etching but who made it ?

Etching but who made it ? . Another long time member off the collection . But stil l don't know who made it . So another question off help here

 

Last name Okel?
There is an artist named Wouter Okel, he is a member of 'de Ploeg' in Groningen, but this doesn't look like his style.

 

Think that the name is different and I also had a book with it with the same autograph . And the seller off the etching included with the book told me that maybe the owner off the book put his name on the etching as proof off ownership . And that the etching could be made by Roger Loewig . True story or pub talk ?

 

If the owner put his name in such a prominent place, along with a date, he is a bit of a Filistine.
It doesn't look like Loewig to me, but then I don't know all his work. Loewig usually works with fine lines.

 

The autograph is in a book about Loewig so very strange links like this ?

 

W. A. Lokel? Seeing the second signature.... Lekel. Google doesn't seem to like either interpretation. Probably too modern and a regional artist, so no records on the internet. For what it is worth, I really like this.

 

A bit of a mystery, but certainly a quality etching.
