Estate Find Soldier Print

This is framed and measures 13 1/4" x 17 3/4". I don't see any dots in the picture so I am not sure how it is done.

 

I might be totally off track here but this Arnould might be some French theatrical person and Samson might be the artist as the writing looks similar. Here’s some areas to investigate.

The back is papered. The last name is Arnouto.

 

That should be Arnoulo

 

Aargh, I was seeing Arnould!
When an artist says ‘after‘ it usually means they have painted a copy of this artists work.

but as Houseful said: this is "after" Arnoud, which doesn't tell a lot about your print. Likely a chromolithograph. No idea as to how old.

I can remember some local bank giving away sets of similar prints when I was a kid. Don't know what kind of prints those were either. And maybe it wasn't a bank. Might have been the Hudson's Bay Company.
