Featured Estate Find Carl Hoerman Painting

    Hello, I hope everyone is well. I have not posted in a long time so I thought I would share some of my finds from 2020 and 2021. I always enjoy the variety of opinions and the wealth of knowledge. I bought this painting at an estate sale last summer for $15. I arrived late at the sale, but got lucky because someone had put the painting behind a couch. It measures 28" X 30", oil on canvas. I think it is probably a scene at Saugatuck Dunes.     John, welcome to the forum. The painting is a prized piece in my collection and will remain there. I visit Saugatuck several times a year, it is a favorite place to eat, antique and relax.

    I can't read the signature on yours, but it does look like it could be Carl Hoerman (possibly spelled slightly differently, as it appears to have more letters?). And the style and subject are the same. Great find!
