Can anyone tell me about this pitcher? It's 8 3/8" tall. It has a dimpled or hammered finish and sort of a nifty stepped or ridged spout and 3 loop handle. I don't know the flower. As you can see, it's led a hard life with numerous little paint flecks missing though there are no chips or cracks. The bottom is impressed England and X20 and written in gold is 1276 and Made in England.

Do any others here think the flowers might be an "interpretation"? of "Canterbury bell(s)" flowers?

    I'm a "big girl" -- I can take it if I'm way off base.

    It is a pretty pitcher.;)

Thanks, MOS. Certainly looks like it could be Brentleigh, though I haven't found a match or the same mark.

I think we need to ask @Ownedbybear !

I was thinking one of the bellflower/campanula varieties(?)

    Hi,
I have several growing around here, they are the first to bloom. I always called them Snowdrops.

Campanulas, indeed. NOT the same as snowdrops: those are convollaria.

I don't think this is Brentleigh. It's a pretty 1920s ish jug, mass market and inexpensive when new. Fill it with campanulas. ;)

I have no idea but I like it, so whimsical with the marriage of atomic deco and cottage-y floral. I giggled when i saw what you used for a display stand.

This is interesting! I have a 'jug' exactly the same structure although no flowers but other design. It has made in England stamp and a hand written 4 digit number. Does anyone have any idea what these jugs are?

This is an older thread so I don't know if someone has figured it out or not.

I did find this Pinterest photo saying it's Crown Ducal however the link to the original ebay listing is dead. I think the mark photo is associated with the jug photo.
