    Hi guys,

I know this isn't antique piece, rather vintage but also know there are many knowledgeable people here :)

It's not the first time I came across this enamel from China.
Does anyone have any idea about the age of such, the company is Bumper Harvest.
In many places it says 50s, 60s but it doesn't look that old, more like a 90s piece.
    Any ideas?

    Thank you!

Company seems to be registered in Hong Kong / China and although I'm no expert it looks like it was made fairly recently.

You should google whether it's safe for food use.

Ridiculous! This is standard Chinese domestic enamelware widely seen all over China and in Chinatowns worldwide.

Doesn't mean it doesn't have lead in it.

Glass has lead in it, so what? Enamel is glass or porcelain and is totally inert.

Some does yes, but not all.
Does it leach into the alcohol? Who knows, too much alcohol may have the same effect on the brain as lead, irritability, loss of memory and all.;)
    (I was thinking of decanters)

    So :)
Yes it contains most probably some shady stuff, like most of enamelware but as a decor is fine :)
So other than discussion on the health hazard, no other info on the age? :)
It looks newer def. but don't think this stamps are usual for last 20 years, or?

I saw this in the late 1990s in flea markets, in droves. It must have spread like wildfire, saw it later in my own garage sales! ;)
