    Hello everyone.

I got this two items on a flea today and wonder if anyone can date them or provide any additional info.

    Thanks in advance.

Wait for others, but the brooch is breathtaking. I assume French.

    Any marks on the ring?

    DANG!!! I second that!

The foil under her headband and brooch is great, that technique has a name but I can't think of it right now

That brooch is stunning. French Limoges enamel, and by a good enamelist. It looks genuine Art Nouveau, with a replacement clasp. A dog tooth pearl dangle, I think.
Given the sterling 835(?!) mark it could have been made for export.

    kyratango Bug jewellery addiction!

The brooch has a German feeling to me!
I saw some with the foil under enamel highlight too.
    French wouldn't mark 835

To me too, but that is just the brooch. The enamel could have been imported. It is very much in the Limoges style, and I don't know of a German tradition which is like that.

Lovely brooch - wouldn't it be odd for a German one to be marked Depose though - is the mark actually 935 (not 835)?

The ring looks mid century to me, the trifurcated shoulders and knobs fit with the experimental work coming out post-war.

Maybe Belgian, although Belgium usually used .800 silver at the time.
The style looks a bit 'demure' for Belgian Art Nouveau.

Not uncommon to find 'Deposé' on German pieces (occasionally on Austrian too)...

It seems to me that this is Germany. Are there definitely no more marks? Screenshot_20211016-232053~2-810x1091.png

Nice stuff! The brooch looks like a stained glass church window.

I'd have figured it for French too. The stained glass effect is the clear enamel over the engine turning. Whoever did that had serious talent. Not a clue about the ring.

Looks like it may be 935 to me with border around it making it look like 835.

You will be surprised how many good items can be found in New York flea markets. The brooch was actually in a bin with bunch of mismatched earrings and other crap and was sold by weight.

There should definitely be a Meyle & Mayer dragonfly sign.
