Featured Enameled Austro Hungarian Style Gilt Silver Brooch

I picked up this brooch recently. It is hallmarked 925 on one side of the pin, and on the other there are three very tiny hallmarks:

A stork or heron-like bird in flight (its profile) with the number 1 beneath it.
The letters PV in an oval stamp.
The letter H in a square stamp.

I can't seem to find the hallmark anywhere. It isn't the Austrian toucan mark.

 

Not sure why images of the marks haven't been posted, but might guess from descriptions that the bird is the 1st standard Hungarian mark, the 'H' a mint-mark, and if I recall correctly, the 'PV' was a 'State Mint' (Pénzverő) mark used on items of various materials after WWII...

Thank you! It matches the 1966-1999 mark for 925. A bit disappointed it isn't older (I was hoping c1930s because of the trombone clasp), but still a lovely piece

It's nice. I would have guessed it was older.

 

Try getting a magnifier app for your phone. They are free, have a light and take pictures. I like Magnifying Glass + flashlight. The one with the light might cost $1.99
