Don't usually pick up jewelry for my BH but thought this was an attractive thing so I did.

Thinking Chinese by style but IDK.

Mark on back says S925 - it measures about 1-1/2" diameter.

    Any ideas?

    TIA

Does it look like bamboo to you? It does to me. It's quite unique.

Chinese, I'd say. Bamboo with the blue bird of happiness. That odd clip clasp thing is between the wars, I'd say.

Another vote for Chinese, and really lovely.
The twisted wire around the cloisonné, the delicate border, and the S925 mark all point to the later Chinese Export Jewellery style, post-1970. Could be as late as 1990.

I had one similar with a dragonfly, similar mark as well (sadly lost at an outdoor gathering) - it was Chinese, purchased new from some mail order catalog in the late '80s-early '90s, may have been the Smithsonian, they had some nice items, discounted for members. Mine was fairly lightweight, it hung well on silk blouses...
