Stones prong set in gold-toned metal.

Layla Grayce? Kendra Scott? Doesn't look like the stuff I'm seeing online.

Is there a name for this kind of clasp?

    Any info?

Sorry I can't help with the ID of Grayce, but my findings catalog calls this a foldover clasp.

If I were guessing, I'd say it came from one of the kajillion small firms in Rhode Island. The best guide to the age is the length of the chain. Generally, the shorter it is the older it is.

    Fold-over clasp seems appropriate. Thanks.

Overall length is 15 1/2". Seems short to me, but WDIK?

So you think it's fair to say this is not Layla Grayce? Wouldn't a design like that be very retro for a contemporary manufacturer? And the Layla Grayce stuff I've seen online uses lobster-claw clasps. But that's the only Grayce I've found.

I do not know for certain, but Google keeps showing a "Grayce" jewelry line by someone named Molly Sims ... not a lot of examples shown as it appears that it is no longer in production (from what I could find). The very few pieces that I've found do have rhinestones ... maybe this was part of that line?

I'll see what I can find on Molly Sims. Thanks.

Although I've never heard of this mark this looks like a 1950's-early 60's necklace. It could have been a short lived name made by any of the numerous jobbers at that time. Wish I could be more helpful.

Maybe this is an instance where unsigned would have been better.

It looks like it's very nicely made for they type of item it is. Some good design work went into it, too.

I actually knew something here... when I read your question about the clasp, I said to myself "fold over clasp"! :joyful:
