Came in a box lot I bought last fall. My first thought was Egyptian, am I on the right track? Is it possibly Min sans erect penis and upright arm? I bet I’m the first one to include “sans erect penis” in a post here…

Also it is bone, right? Could the stain be blood or is it something else? 82C70806-0F22-4A12-B3D8-5AEEB1602054.jpeg DB519330-3093-4F26-927D-0096F79D58CF.jpeg 1112A9C8-97F9-400D-819F-CC19F352AE2B.jpeg FF54E375-8461-4BBF-AE21-2FD0F77B78F0.jpeg E7748129-D1D6-4D81-B92A-CFC1B0FBAE9C.jpeg

Looks like it could be bone, as it does appear to have the pores characteristic of bone. Another possibility might be African soapstone, which is often whitish with red markings, but would not have any veining structure.

I agree with bone. How big is it?
Perhaps Egyptian style figures. The crown you show looks a bit like the crown of Upper Egypt. Can we see a full view of the second figure?

I was pretty positive it came out of or off of an animal. Just didn’t know which one or what part of. I can see why it could appear close enough to soapstone in photos to mention it though.

Just shy of 8” including base. I thought the second figure was the same fella which is why I didn’t bother showing him. I guess second figured hat is a bit different so maybe supposed to be a different character or maybe the artist flubbed up?
