Featured Edwardian Gold Brooch

    In another one of the batches I have I found this brooch. It looks Edwardian to me but has no gold stamp on it. The stones look like emeralds with a jade dangle.     It has a trombone clasp with the tube hinge. I can't see a mark either, but if it's old enough it might never have had one.

    Take it to someone who can test the metal and the stones :)

    It's an odd variant on a trombone with that screw. I'd think it warrants investigation.

    No one would use that on a piece of costume, you'd think. There's no telling what a Victorian jeweler would get up to, but I'd say odds on this comes up good.
