Don’t usually buy books in this bad of shape but couldn’t pass up this complete set of Edgar Allan Poe’s works 1902 Monticello Edition!
Did you have any questions for us about the set? If so, please post a picture of the title page and copyright page (the reverse of the title page) from Volume 1.
It looks like you have the set published by Sproul, edited by James Albert Harrison? Does it say it is a limited edition? Here is some information on the "Harrison Edition", which was published in different forms by different publishers. Scroll down the page for the information on the edition published by Sproul: https://www.eapoe.org/works/harrison/jahinfo.htm
I have done some research on the set and have found a lot of good information just thought they would be good share but any info is appreciated! Would also be nice to hear opinions on value. Thanks!
Since you ask about value... THIS appears similar to yours? It's condition is fab... unfortunately, yours is not. Even so, their pricing of $6500 seems ambitious. Then there's THIS on Worthpoint, but I can't see what it sold for.
Yes I have seen that set I wish mine were in that shape! Also I have seen the set on worthpoint but I don’t have a membership on there either. Thank you for sharing though!
