Eclectic Collecting or Hoarding?

    my husband would say the latter. I comb thrift stores, yard sales, etc., and buy what speaks to me. It could be a book, a hand thrown Bowl, some old lace or a painting. I’m a retired government worker, my husband, a retired librarian. We live in WV, home of Fenton, Blenko, and many lesser known Ohio Valley artists. I’m usually good at identifying pieces... but I have a couple that gave me stumped. Hoping for some assistance. I rarely re-sell my finds. I buy what I like.

    I'd call it collecting and the mark looks like "MR" to me.

    I'd call it buying nice things that appeal to you.:) And why not?
    Eclectic is my favourite kind, btw, although I do have some specific collections as well. In fact, I think I now collect collections.:facepalm:

    The mark looks like MR to me too.

    Hi Loren,
    Tell your husband if you can see the floors you are a collector if you see no floors you are a hoarder.:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:. Tell your husband better bringing home stuff than other men!!!!!!:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
