Ebony bust ?

    Likely origin ? It's about 6" tall and is maybe 50-75 years old s-l1600.jpg

    Makonde. The Makonde live in Tanzania, Mozambique, Kenya.
    The Makonde were encouraged to carve portraits in ebony by the Portuguese while they were still in Mozambique. My guess is 1960s for this one.
